    Our 1 day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is designed for those who work with or care for babies and young children, and need a strong foundation in essential first aid skills.

    This practical, scenario-based course focuses on emergency situations involving infants and children, and is ideal for those who don’t require the full 2 day Paediatric First Aid qualification. Whether you're a nursery worker, childminder, teacher, teaching assistant, parent, nanny or youth group leader, this course will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in a paediatric emergency.

    The course combines theory with hands-on practical skills and real-life scenarios, all delivered in a supportive and friendly environment. We offer bespoke, private group courses that can be tailored to the needs and schedule of your organisation or setting - please contact us to book.

    There is a small element of e-learning prior to the course to enable us to spend more time in scenarios during the training.

    Our comprehensive 2-day Paediatric First Aid course is designed for those who work with or care for babies and young children in professional settings. This course meets the requirements set out by both Estyn and Ofsted for early years providers, nurseries, schools and childminders.

    Covering a wide range of first aid scenarios, this practical, hands-on course gives you the confidence, skills and knowledge to respond effectively in emergencies involving infants and children. Whether you're a nursery practitioner, childminder, teacher, teaching assistant, nanny or early years professional, this course ensures you meet statutory requirements while being fully prepared to manage first aid situations.

  • 🚼 Paediatric First Aid + Emergency First Aid at Work (12 hours)


  • Our 2-day Paediatric First Aid course also meets the requirements for Emergency First Aid at Work as outlined in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

    For a small additional fee (£15 + VAT pp) we can also issue an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate as well as the Paediatric First Aid certificate.

  • WP First Aid is regulated by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB). All FAIB certificates are recognised by HSE and Department for Education/OFSTED Inspectors. The FAIB quality managment system holds third party Certification via UKAS and operates under the standards required for ISO 9001 (2015).

    The FAIB are one of the founding members of the First Aid Quality Partnership (FAQP), a body that includes representation from HSE, the Resuscitation Council (UK), the Voluntary Aid Societies and from OFQUAL, SQA as well as Fire, Police and Ambulance. WP First Aid meets the Quality Assurance standards published by the FAQP.
