    Our Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry course is designed for those working in forestry, land-based industries and rural environments. It combines essential workplace first aid training with additional content specific to the risks and challenges of outdoor and forestry work.

    Past participants on our courses include forestry workers, tree surgeons, farmers, estate workers, conservation workers, outdoor educators and anyone working in remote or rural settings where additional first aid skills are needed.

    During the day, you’ll cover all the key elements of an Emergency First Aid at Work course with an extra hour dedicated to forestry-specific incidents.

    The course combines theory with hands-on practical skills and real-life scenarios, all delivered in a supportive and friendly environment.

    Our Forest School First Aid Course is a comprehensive 2-day program designed specifically for those working in forest schools, outdoor learning environments and nature-based education settings.

    This course is ideal for forest school leaders, outdoor practitioners, teachers, teaching/parent assistants and anyone responsible for the care and safety of children in outdoor settings.

    Throughout the two days, participants will develop essential first aid knowledge and practical skills needed to manage incidents in a forest school or outdoor learning environment. Training combines clear, accessible theory with lots of hands-on practice through realistic, outdoor-focused scenarios to help you build both competence and confidence.

    Our First Aid at Work + Forestry course is an in-depth 3-day (19-hour) program designed for those who need a comprehensive first aid qualification with additional training focused on forestry and rural environments. This course fully meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and goes beyond by including essential skills for high-risk outdoor and remote work.

    participants on these courses include forestry workers, tree surgeons, land managers, conservation workers, estate teams, outdoor instructors, farmers and others who work in challenging outdoor environments where a higher level of first aid knowledge is crucial.

    Training is highly practical, blending easy-to-follow theory sessions with lots of hands-on, scenario-based exercises, ensuring participants are confident, capable and ready to respond effectively in real-world emergencies.

  • WP First Aid is regulated by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB). All FAIB certificates are recognised by HSE and Department for Education/OFSTED Inspectors. The FAIB quality managment system holds third party Certification via UKAS and operates under the standards required for ISO 9001 (2015).

    The FAIB are one of the founding members of the First Aid Quality Partnership (FAQP), a body that includes representation from HSE, the Resuscitation Council (UK), the Voluntary Aid Societies and from OFQUAL, SQA as well as Fire, Police and Ambulance. WP First Aid meets the Quality Assurance standards published by the FAQP.
